Farm workers wanted for apple thinning and apple harvest 2022-23 in Manjimup WA. Register now for 30 positions. Thinning covers several weeks from mid-November 2022 to end December. Harvest starts mid February 2023 and continues until end May. There will be sundry other orchard work outside of these dates.
Apple thinning is a very repetitive/boring job, standing all day and removing by hand the excess small apples on the trees.
Apple picking is hard physical work, requiring you to pick and carry between 15-30kg of fruit, often using ladders.
A lot of people find they are not suited to this work. Our crews need to be fit and able to work for long hours at the same task, often in adverse weather conditions.
Pay in accordance with the level 1 Horticulture Award 2020. This is a temporary fulltime position.
Essential criteria:
• Australian citizen/permanent resident
• fit & willing to work outdoors
• good English speaking skills
