20 casual farm hands (as per Horticulture Award MA000028, Level 1))
Approximate commencement dates is December 2022. This job is seasonal and will run for approximately 6 months until June 2023. During this period you will receive an average of at least 30 hours per week
Responsibilities:
· Performing general labouring duties
· Fruit picking and pruning
· Performing a range of farming tasks
· Sorting, packing or grading of produce
Applicants must be available to work weekends and public holidays as required.
You do not have to be an Australian citizen to apply for this work, but you will need to be on a valid working Visa.

Howe Farming Enterprises Pty Ltd grows a variety of crops on several farms located near Mareeba, FNQ. Howe Farming works under a high level of workplace health and safety procedures and a COVID-19 safe plan. We are currently looking for 60 seasonal farm labourers for upcoming crops – growing and harvesting season. Work will commence to help grow, harvest and pack bananas and other crops. There are a range of general farm hand positions available with majority being outside in the open paddocks. Team members are expected to be available for a minimum six to nine month period, as well as be available over the Christmas period (not including public holidays). Due to the high physical demands and regular periods of hot and humid weather in Far North Queensland (FNQ), team members need to be work-fit and self motivated. Our Organisation conducts regular drug and alcohol testing to ensure a high level of WHS is maintained by all team members. Successful candidates need to be team players who can work efficiently and accurately.
Wages will be paid at standard casual award rates, which is currently $24.36/hr and paid under an Enterprise Agreement. Average minimum weekly hours will be exceeding 30 hours per week.
