My brother and I, both in our early 30s own a cherry farm 2 hours drive from
Melbourne and need 50 workers from mid November – January.

We have been farming cherries and hosting backpackers for over 10 years and
pride ourselves on producing Victoria’s best fruit and providing our workers
with a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the real Australia.

Jobs desciption; Most of the work we offer is picking cherries. We pay per kg,
usually around $1 to $1.5 per kg but it changes daily to stay fair. The harder
you work the more money you will make. you will be paid the award piece rate.

We also have positions in our packing shed which include grading and packing.
These position are paid hourly at the award rate, around $25.40 per hour.

We also have several management positions and sales positions available to the
correct applicants.

You cannot apply for these positions. People will be selected after arrival.

What to expect.

We work hard and start early, some weeks we will work 7 days. Some weeks we
will take it easier and may only work 3. This is fruit picking and very
dependent on the weather. We work when we can but when we cant we will go
swimming in the rivers, hiking in the mountains, exploring Victoria, have
bonfires and enjoy the country lifestyle.

We provide all of your accommodation on the farm, the building is new as of
2017, we also have a bar, dining room, games rooms, hammock gardens, and large
kitchen.

In addition to your accommodation we provide all of your food, either prepared
or unprepared.

Expect fresh, healthy food each day.

We charge $44 per night for this opportunity.

You can expect to make between $500-$1000 per week AFTER rent if you work

* Undertake on-farm consultations including afterhours emergency calls

* Manage and provide basic veterinary care to hospital cases.

* Perform routine workups with logical progression and evidence-based medicine and recognition of the economic constraints associated.

* Undertake routine diagnostic tests including radiographs, blood tests and ultrasound, including communication with relevant specialists.

* Provide advice within the scope of your knowledge and experience on relevant issues such as nutrition, breeding and preventative medicine.

* Maintain complete and accurate medical, financial and other records using the clinics software programs.
* Maintain and continue to strive for excellence in practice through continuing professional development.

**ESSENTIAL CRITERIA**

* Registration with state Veterinary Board
* Bachelor of Veterinary Science or equivalent degree
* A minimum of three years’ veterinary experience
* Current and valid Driver’s license
* Demonstrated ability to focus on customer needs
* Ability to work as a team and independently with all members of staff
* Well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to clearly communicate with staff and clients alike.
* Time management with regard to both punctuality and the ability to complete tasks within the required timeframe
* Maintain a high standard of presentation, taking pride in one’s personal appearance and the clinic itself.
* Sound knowledge of health and safety obligations and demonstrated skills in safe operation of equipment relevant to a mixed animal practice

The salary offered will be $80,000 – $90,000 depending upon experience.

to pick/pack strawberries are required. Manual picking of strawberries
according to size and ripeness are also required. We are looking for nimble
fingers, sharp sighted (no colour-blindness) and physically able applicants
who can produce the quality & quantity needed. Potential long hours in all
weather conditions. Strawberries are weighed & paid by the units (e.g. kilos,
trays, punnets). Pickers and Packers must be able to work in a very fast paced
environment with speed and accuracy. Modern Horticultural Award 2020 Piece
Rate system is on offer (that is, you will be paid for kgs/trays/punnets
harvested/packed) with occasional hourly depending on tasks. Amount earned
will depend on individual speed /performance. Previous (and current) physical
outdoor activities or lifestyle habits will be highly regarded. Outdoor work
which can be cold and wet OR very hot and dry. We need reliable, flexible
workers. Regular lifting and bending. Gentle but fast hands needed. Ability to
