About the business
Our family farm in the Great Southern Region of Western Australia is seeking a new team member to assist in the day to day running of our mixed cropping, hay, sheep and wool farm.
About the role
The successful applicant will work with the Livestock Manager to ensure the welfare and production of the 15,000 hd sheep flock. They will also assist the rest of the team in the day to day running of the farm and other enterprises. The position will be working over 5 farm locations.
Benefits and perks
Salary package will be based on experience and includes on farm housing, work ute, mobile phone and meat ration. The home farm has 3 towns within 40km radius and school bus service to both primary and senior high schools.
Skills and experience
– Demonstrated ability to manage the health and welfare of livestock in extensive farming.

Our client requires up to 40 hardworking, nimble fingered and reliable farm workers to pack, sort and harvest vegetables and related crops in Longford Victoria and the surrounding area. You MUST be available to start work from September 2019 and be available for a minimum of 4-5
days per week, 8-10 hours per day, for the duration of the season (approximately 9 months).
Some weekend work may be offered. The positions involve varying early start times depending on crop availability and management requirements. Flexibility is a must as the crops growth and harvest is weather dependent and may be intermittent. The positions involve outdoor work at times in very cold, wet, hot and dirty conditions.
We need reliable and flexible workers who are physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Duties may include, but not limited to, harvesting, cleaning, trimming, weeding and sorting fresh vegetables outdoors. The vegetables being harvested include broccoli, cabbage,
lettuce and salad leaves. The duties involve regular lifting, constant standing, walking and bending to pick, pack and sort products.
You will have good communication skills and able to work well in small and large teams from various cultural backgrounds.
Wages are paid as per the Australian Horticultural Award 2010. Ability to adhere to company Quality Assurance and OH&S requirements is a must. The positions are offered through a Labour Hire agency on casual basis for up to 9 months only. Please do not attempt to contact the
farm directly.
