assist our Bundaberg team with:

* Food preparation for cooking and service

* Assisting with cooking and tidying for the Chefs and Cooks during service
* Ensuring stock is labelled, rotated and used to minimise food wastage
* Rubbish removal, dish washing and general cleaning ****

Duties & Responsibilities

* Cafe Barista duties
* Rotating and restocking bar with beer, wine, liquor and related supplies such as ice, glassware, napkins etc.
* Assisting with unloading stock delivery
* Preparing fridge/storeroom for stock
* Maintaining cash register while receiving payments from customers
* Cash handling and balancing
* Making inventory
* Maintaining the cleanliness of the bar and surrounding areas
* Cleaning bar, work areas, tables and rubbish collection
* Adhoc duties as requested by the Club Manager

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

Skills & Experience

* Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
* Approved Manager status desirable
* Demonstrable experience in a similar role
* Café Barista experience is required
* Bar service experience is required
* Excellent customer service skills
* Cash handling experience
* Ability to work quickly and efficiently
* Good written and verbal and written communication skills
* National Police Clearance will be required
* Australian working rights

Solvtrans Rederi AS have over 30 years’ experience operating Well-boats for
the transport of live fish across the globe. They currently have two well-
boats, the Ronja Huon and the Ronja Storm, along with senior crew members to
Huon Aquaculture for the transportation of live Salmon in the south of
Tasmania.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As Ship’s Master (Fishing Industry), you are ultimately responsible for the
control, speed, navigation, security, management and the safe and efficient
operation of all aspects of the vessel and crew at all times and overseeing
the operation and maintenance of either the Ronja Huon or Ronja Storm.

Additional responsibilities relate to ensuring the maximum efficiency and
operational availability of the vessel and crew; efficient loading and
transport; security plan; emergency equipment and systems; complete and
accurate logbooks, reports, statements; management of all crew; compliance
with safety at sea and protection of the marine environment regulations;
maintaining the vessel’s legal compliance including
certificates/documentation; address crew/passenger medical issues and the
cleanliness and seaworthiness of the vessel.

**QUALIFICATION, SKILL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**

To be successful in this role, you MUST have:

• Master Unlimited (Deck Officer Class 1 Master Mariner) with STCW Regulation
II/2;

• Certificate of proficiency for seafarers with designated security duties;

• Valid Health Certificate;

• General Operator/s Certificate (GOC/GMDSS);

• ECDIS Electronic Chart system incl. AIS – STCW 2010;

• Advanced Safety Course – 80hrs in accordance with STCW – 95 2010 Manila
Amendments;

• Relevant AMSA licence/registration/certificate of competency;

• More than 4 years documented experience working as a Master on a live fish
carrier or Well Boat;

• Demonstrated experience handling live fish and experience managing the
transport of live fish;

• Sound knowledge of maritime law, legislation and regulations;

• Knowledge and understanding of maintenance program software (PREMASTER or
similar);

• Proven Experience overseeing the maintenance of ozone and O2 generators,
circulation systems and fish pumps is also essential;

• Proven ability to use electronic chart display and information systems to
maintain the safety of navigation;

• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop a small crew;

• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.

It is an inherent requirement of this position that work be performed safely
whilst upholding Huon’s Values. The appointed person must be able to build and
maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders. Knowledge of
workplace health and safety regulations is essential.

Base salary range: $180,000 – $185,000 + Superannuation

A copy of your maritime qualifications, current AMSA Certificate of
Competency, current AMSA medical certificate and driver’s licence must be
